Not to be confused with either the longer-running <a href="http://brassbandresults.co.uk/contests/READING-CONTEST/">Reading contest</a> (which was run in the autumn, beginning 1930) or the earlier <a href="http://brassbandresults.co.uk/contests/READING-CONTEST-1900S/">Reading contest</a>, which ran prior to WW1.
