Charles Godfrey snr was the chairman of the judges.

Prizes:
1st: £20, for band, and silver three-pint cup for bandmaster, value eighteen guineas
2nd: £15 for band, and a three-half-pint silver cup, value 12 guineas, for bandmaster
3rd: £10 for band
4th: £5 for band
