S.Clayton Pye
Was conductor of Great Harwood Temperance and Guide Temperance (both Lancashire) until December 1928 when he was appointed conductor at St Erth. In 1931 went with 10 others to the Bermuda Imperial band for 3 year contract. Band ceased in 1939 owing to the war. Stayed with 6 others who in 1943 were asked to form the Bermuda Volunteer Rifle Corps band. (Brass Band News June 1946)
