W. Heap
This is a good one - page 6 Brass Band News September 1900 shows the results of Shildon, Hull and Luddenden Contests held on 18th August 1900. W.Heap is shown as conducting at all three, which I noticed once I started filling in blanks on the results we already have recorded. As I have made a quick calculation he must have travelled at least 250 miles that date. Problem - 1. is there more than one W.Heap, 2. Have BBN got dates wrong, 3 Have BBN been guessing. 4. H.G.Wells got it right and time travel was possible in Victorian England.
