Region: North West

Band known to be in existance in 1842 as Accrington. Became Accrington Rifles (7th Lancashire Rifle Volunteers) in 1869, but relinquished association with Volunteers in 1884 (Brass Band News May 1884), when it became Accrington Old. The Accrington Old band seems to have vanished around 1935/36.
