Believe this band to be also Newton Heath L.M.S. - article in Brass Band News November 1927 states - ' Newton Heath L.M.&S. were not successful at the Crystal Palace Contest .......having good rehearsals under Mr Cooper. Another article I read stated they were going to their headquarters at Thorp Road which is where the Newton Heath Loco works were situated.
