"It would also appear that the "Model" band had a completely separate identity to the "Ribblesdale" band and contrary to earlier information the two bands did not merge at all, but the "model" band gradually declined and folded sometime in the mid-1870s. The only information I can glean as to the origins of the Old/Ribblesdale/Prize Bands are from "the mid-1840's" and the names were somewhat interchangeable."
