Band formed 25th Septmber 1875, believed ceased just after Second World War, and instruments etc went to Thornton band who acted as trustees. J. Greenwood financial Officer of Poulton le Fylde Council suggested reforming the band in 1951, and instruments were returned and a new band formed.
