In the event of tied points, the band with the highest march placing is given precedent.
As Flixton and Mossley won overall prizes, the 1st section prizes went to the next highest placed 1st section bands.
Weather: Began sunshine and clouds. During Band 12's (Flixton) performance heavy rain began. Rain lasted through to Band 15. Contest ended again with Sunshine.
Brindle, Eagley and Pemberton B all chose to play the march first.
