The awards were made at the evening Festival Concert.
The contest started at 12.00 noon.
The programme cost 6d and all proceeds went to the Printers Pension Almhouse and Orphan Asylum.

We have received anonymous feedback stating that there were three celebrity "guest conductors" at this event (Henry Wood, Adrian Boult and Malcolm Sargent), but not stating what they conducted. If you have more details, please let us know.
