PROTESTS: A protest was lodged by the Cobar Town Band against their fellow Cobar District Band on the grounds they played two ineligible players ,who were subsequently disqualified
Two other protests were lodged ; The Metropolitan (Sydney) Band and the South Sydney Orange Bands entered counter protests against each other for also playing ineligible players
The committee viewed each of the latter protests as technical and the fines imposed deemed satisfactory to meet the requirements in each case
There were 2 test selections the No.2 being " Marco Spardo"
