George Hespe
Brass Band News states he joined the army 31st August 1915 aged 14 as a band boy, went to Kneller Hall 1925. Appointed bandmaster of 1st Seaforth Highlanders in 1928. Became bandmaster of Sheffield Transport band 1933.
