Military band conductor.
Born 22nd May 1875, Deptford.
Died 4th October 1932, while conducting the South Metropolitan Gas Company’s Military Band at East Greenwich. They had just played Sullivan’s “In Memoriam,” but Herbert “dropped dead before any applause could be given.”
