Info from Robert Sykes of Stalybridge (son of Sam Sykes) - when Fred Sykes was conductor at Stalybridge Old Band his brother Herbert (father of Sam) was conductor at Stalybridge Borough band. We have no information of Herbert conducting at contests. (Dutchy)
