Living Power was commissioned by Dr. Jonathan Corry for the famous Enfield Citadel Band of the Salvation Army.

Dr. Corry requested a short, exciting piece for use the the band's National Brass Band Championship Gala Concert in 2016. Based on the melody of Timothy Dudley-Smith's uplifting hymn tune 'Lord, for the Years', the music is is inherently positive; building from an exciting, rhythmic opening to a finale featuring the hymn tune in full voice.
