Born 1913, joined Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry 1927, member of trumpet team at Coronation of George VI Director of Music Irish Guards 1949. Senior Director of Music Guards Brigade 1963. In charge of music at funeral of Winston Churchill. Retired army 1968. Died 1970
