Phineas Bower


Born Queensbury Yorkshire in 12th September, 1846, began to play euphonium around 1866, joined Black Dyke as bandmaster 1st January 1875, left 31 December 1895. Father of Fred Bower (solo trombone at Black Dyke for over 25 years.)
