This band was started by Mr. Zemek, who conducted the first civilian band in Maryborough, known as the Oddfellows, in the early years of the century. The band promoted the 1910/11 contest in Maryborough and in 1913/14 another contest where they won the B Grade competition. In 1914/15 Percy Code from Ballarat took the band and beat Ipswich Vice Regal for A Grade. The Vice Regals up until this time had been unbeaten. Mr. Ryder then took over the band and went to the 1918/19 contest where it won A Grade. Mr. Ryder resigned and Mr. Gus Cerezo took over guiding the band to second place in 1922. The band began to falter and Mr. Richard Zemek took over the band for a few years until 1926 when Mr. George Gummow took control and won the A Grade at Toowoomba and Mackay respectively in 1926 and 1927. In 1928 the band had reverted to B and C Grade and won the C Grade. Lou Gray followed Mr. Gummow and took the band to Sydney for an Australian Championship. Mr. Zemek took over the band again until a Mr. R P Moore assumed control in 1933. The band amalgamated with the Maryborough Federal in 1938.
